Hello, I'm Ava
A project manager and parent. An expat living in Toronto, Canada.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new life chapter abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Canada wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many relocations for expats, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than they should have.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built TidalCoveFrame
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourist content. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in Canada.
What This Site Represents (And Does Not)
This site IS:
- Practical experience gained from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a genuine change
This site isn't:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Canada continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, feel free to contact me.
Best regards,
Ava
